Delicious! Seafood in Vietnam

Vietnam is one of the highest shrimp producing countries in the world. As you can imagine, the seafood here is grrrrreeeat. With Angela and me both being seafood enthusiasts, we obviously wouldn’t miss it for the world.

During our excursion, we found ourselves at a bustling street-side restaurant right in the heart of the Mekong Delta. The setup was incredibly simple but promised the freshest catch you could possibly imagine. We literally picked the seafood that was on display, pointing out exactly what we wanted, and they cooked it right there on an open flame.

The sheer freshness of it all was unbeatable. In fact, the shrimps were literally jumping when I picked them out from the baskets! Sorry, their loss was definitely my gain. Sitting there on small plastic stools, enjoying perfectly grilled, smoky seafood while soaking in the local atmosphere, is an experience I won't forget anytime soon.
