Indian wedding

We’ve been busy traveling in India and are now in Kolkata. There is a lot to write about India, but that’ll have to be for another time. I just want to post the wedding pictures first as a few people (including my mom) have already nagged me about the delay.

We went to three of Samir’s wedding events over 2 days – the gruh shanti, the reception, and the parade. The gruh shanti and reception were interesting enough, but the parade….it was wild; it was explosive; it was loud, crowded yet intimate; it was a photographer’s ecstasy. Simply, it was the best wedding I ever attended! By 3AM, I was tired from all the dancing and partying; and, I was drunk.

It was such an amazing cultural eye opener for me and Angela. We were really glad we made it. And a thousand thanks to Jaimeen, who helped us with all the transportation arrangements, and to Samir and his amazing family, who really went above and beyond in their hospitality and treated us like family the entire time. Thank you!

And now…
